LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 11, 2009)—The National Federation of High Schools Coaches Association has named two coaches from St. Mary's County Public Schools as 2008 Sectional Coaches of the year.
Ms. Michelle Richmond from Great Mills High School has been chosen as the Mideast Section's Field Hockey Coach of the Year. Mr. Jamie Copsey from Leonardtown High School has been chosen as the Mideast Section's Girls' Cross Country Coach of the Year.
The award is given in appreciation of outstanding service and unselfish devotion to interscholastic athletics, according to school officials.
