MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 9, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 5:13 pm, TFC M. Koock responded to the 26000 block of Baptist Church Road in Mechanicsville for the reported malicious destruction of property to a metal gate. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 68, of Mechanicsville, who advised unknown suspect(s) drove an ATV through the gate causing damage to the gate. The approximate damage to the gate is $80.00. The investigation is continuing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Monday, April 6, 2009 at 1:27 am, Reginald Delante Thomas, 18, of Great Mills was arrested by TFC M. Adams for possession of marijuana. Mr. Thomas was operating a white Honda Accord on Chancellors Run Road in Great Mills when he was stopped for driving without the required license. Mr. Thomas was placed under arrest and taken into custody. A search incident to the arrest revealed Mr. Thomas was in possession of marijuana. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

IDENTITY THEFT: On Monday, April 6, 2009 at 9:58 am, Tpr. G. Thompson responded to the 21000 block of Willis Wharf Court in Lexington Park for the reported Identity Theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 42, of Lexington Park. She advised her husband went to the bank to deposit money into their son's account and discovered approximately $450.00 had been withdrawn from the account. While at the bank, a check was made on their account and it revealed that unknown suspect(s) had closed the complainant's account on March 2, 2009 and transferred the balance of their account to another Bank of America Branch in Philadelphia, Pa. The investigation is ongoing.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER: On Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 7:00 am, TFC E. Evans responded to the 45000 block of Great Mills Court in Lexington Park for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect, Aloysius Sylvester Herbert, 44, of Great Mills. A routine check through NCIC revealed Mr. Herbert was in violation of a protective order. Mr. Herbert was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

LICENSE PLATE THEFT: On Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11:45 am, TFC D. Brill responded to Leonardtown Ford on Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown for the reported theft under $100.00. Upon arrival, contact was made with female employee, 44, of Clements who advised unknown suspect(s) stole a Maryland registration plate 1A79157. The registration plate has been entered into NCIC. The investigation is ongoing.

BENCH WARRANT ARREST: On Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 2:45 pm, Crystal Lynn Boyle, 25, of Upper Marlboro was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13862) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 13, 2009. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Ms. Boyle was taken into custody when officers were called to a residence in the 25000 block of Budds Creek Road in Clements for the reported Disturbance. Ms. Boyle was taken into custody as a result of the outstanding warrant and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

BENCH WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11:00 am, Fabian Thompson Aquilar, 18, of Rockville was arrested by TFC D. Brill on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13791) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 20, 2009. The original charge was Driving Uninsured Vehicle and Driving without required license. Ms. Aquilar was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

BENCH WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 1:30 pm, Tayvonna M. Yates, 20, of Weed, California was arrested by TFC E. Evans on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13836) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation. The original charge is Possession of CDS - Not Marijuana. Ms. Yates was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
