MSP Reports for Charles County


LA PLATA, Md. (April 29, 2009) - The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On April 23 at approximately 1915 hours, Trooper W. Posey was on routine patrol when he observed a white Jeep Wrangler sitting at the traffic light on St. Charles Parkway and Route 5 with tags belonging to a passenger vehicle. Trooper Posey stopped the vehicle, made contact with the driver, Sara Marie Last, 19, of Waldorf, and smelled an odor of marijuana. Last and her passengers Candace Noel Cusato, 19, of White Plains, and a juvenile were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance Oxycodone and possess of drug paraphernalia.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On April 25 at approximately 0208 hours Trooper B. Sorenson responded to the Holiday Inn on St. Patrick’s Drive in Waldorf and made contact with TFC J. Edelen who was working off-duty. TFC Edelen advised he could smell the odor of burnt marijuana on the second floor. Contact was made with Herman Sean Lue, 36, of Miami, Florida. Lue was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

RETAIL SCAM: On April 27 at approximately 1650 hours, TFC J. Wilson was dispatched to the Best Buy in Waldorf where he made contact with Loss Prevention Officer B. Boston. Boston observed Alfred George Khallouf place a serial number sticker from a Nintendo Wii that he previously purchased and placed it onto a Nintendo Wii that he retrieved from the shelf. Khallouf attempt to get his $249 back. Khallouf was charged with theft less than $500.
