MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 22, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT OF TAG: On Monday, May 18, 2009 at 9:42 am, a male complainant, 33, of Chaptico responded to the Leonardtown Barrack to report that unknown suspect(s) stole the rear Maryland registration plate from his Chevrolet Silverado while it was parked at Potomac Speedway on Friday, May 15, 2009. The stolen tag was entered into NCIC. The investigation is ongoing.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, May 18, 2009 at 10:30 am, Sylvester Leroy Parran, Jr., was arrested by TFC J. Stern on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13937) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 7, 2009. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Parran was taken into custody in Lexington Park and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Monday, May 18, 2009 at 10:24 am, Tpr. M. Koock responded to a 911 broadcast of a property destruction in progress in the 46000 block of Chapman Drive in Lexington Park. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 45, of Lexington Park who advised a window was broken out in a vacant trailer. A search of the trailer revealed no one was inside. The estimated damage to the house trailer was $100.00. The investigation is ongoing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 7:10 am, Corey Demoyne Bronson, Sr., 31, of Leonardtown was arrested by TFC R. Rezza for Domestic Assault 2nd Degree. TFC Rezza responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in the 39000 block of Sassafras Lane in Leonardtown. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect, Mr. Bronson, who advised he was engaged in a verbal argument with the female victim, 34, of Leonardtown. Upon completion of the interviews of both parties, Mr. Bronson was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICES: On Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 1:00 pm, Darius Timothy Woodland, 33, of Lexington Park was apprehended on two outstanding warrants issued by the District Court in Leonardtown. Charges on Bench Warrant (T3-13955) are for Violation of Protective Order. Charges on Arrest Warrant (T3-13956) has two counts of Assault 2nd Degree and one count of Theft under $100.00. Mr. Woodland was taken into custody onboard NAS Patuxent River and turned over to TFC M. Moore where he was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held without bond pending his court appearance.

DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 11:56 pm, Michael Gerald J. Parsons, 20, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. Mr. Parsons was operating a black Honda Accord on Chancellors Run Road when he was stopped in the area of Buck Hewitt Road in Lexington Park for an equipment violation. Upon contact with Mr. Parsons, a strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Parsons was found to be in possession of a plastic baggie of Marijuana and two CDS smoking devices with Marijuana. Mr. Parsons was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 2:12 am, Robert Anthony Robinson, 41, of Callaway was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of prescription medications not prescribed to him. Mr. Robinson was operating a black Oldsmobile Cutlass on northbound Three Notch Road, south of Patuxent Beach Road in California when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Mr. Robinson was found to be in possession of prescription medication not prescribed to him. Mr. Robinson was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
