Narcotics Arrests in St. Mary's


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Jan. 23, 2010) - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division released the following incident and arrest reports. The Division is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Mary’s County.

DRUG RAID: Vice Narcotics detectives received information related to possible distribution of controlled substances from a particular residence. An investigation confirmed the drug activity at Suspect Ryan Duke Aud's home in Leonardtown. A search and seizure warrant was obtained by detectives and executed with the assistance of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Team. Once inside, detectives located nearly 50 ecstasy pills with a street value of almost $1,000, a quantity of marijuana, related paraphernalia and seized $451.00. Suspect Ryan Aud, age 22 of Leonardtown, and Jonathan Kuehl, age 20 of Leonardtown, were both arrested and charged accordingly. Additional charges are pending a case review with State's Attorney Richard D. Fritz.

FUGITIVE ARREST: During the course of a lengthy cocaine distribution investigation which involved a network of individuals, it was discovered that Sherron "Tut" Bush was selling cocaine throughout St. Mary's County. Through various investigative avenues Vice Narcotics detectives made purchases of cocaine from several members of the drug network including Suspect Sherron Bush.

As members of his organization began to get arrested, Suspect Bush fled the area and has been on the run for more than a year. Detectives received information from time to time from outside the State of Maryland. Detectives met with the United States Marshal's Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and turned the case over to them. The US Marshal's Task Force followed the leads provided by the Sheriff's Office and those that were generated by their own investigation.

Suspect Sherron Bush was apprehended by the US Marshals Task Force in Richmond, Virginia without incident. He is currently being held in a Richmond Detention facility awaiting extradition back to St. Mary's County to answer to the several open warrants. Those warrants include cocaine trafficking charges. In addition there is a warrant through the Calvert County Sheriff's Office for the suspect related to his failure to pay child support.
