MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 15) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Tuesday, March 9 at 11:35 am, Justin Maurice Waldorf, 25, of Mechanicsville, was arrested by TFC C. M. Evans for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Waldorf was operating a gray Saturn on Mechanicsville Road when he was stopped at Church Lane in Mechanicsville for exceeding the posted speed limit. Upon contact with the occupants, an odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Waldorf was found to be in possession of a partially burnt Marijuana cigarette and CDS paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Tuesday, March 9 at 11:46 am, Andre Jesse Brothers, 21, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. G. A. Thompson for Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Brothers was operating a black Toyota Camry when he was stopped at Chancellors Run Road and Fox Chase Drive in Lexington Park for failing to drive in a single lane. Contact was made with the driver, Mr. Brothers and two other occupants of the vehicle. An odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Brothers was found to be in possession of a partially burnt Marijuana cigarette. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, March 10 at 10:30 pm, Steven Darnell Tolson, 30, of Hughesville was arrested by TFC J. G. Fleetwood on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14306) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 29. Mr. Tolson was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, March 11 at 4:39 am, Sean Tyler Wolthers, 22, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on a Circuit Court Grand Jury Indictment (T3-14354) issued on March 5. Mr. Wolthers was served the indictment at his residence in Mechanicsville and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. The original charge was Burglary in the 2nd Degree.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, THEFT OVER $1,000: On Thursday, March 11 at 5:52 am, a 71-year-old male complainant, of Lexington Park reported to the Leonardtown Barracks that unknown suspects burglarized his garage and stole a green 2002 Yamaha golf cart, a five gallon gas can and numerous hunting supplies. Total loss estimated to be $3,455.00. Earlier in the morning, TFC M. A. Moore stopped Cary Michael Anderson, 29, of Dameron for operating a green golf cart on the shoulder of Three Notch Road in Dameron. At approximately 6:32 am, TFC Moore responded to the residence Mr. Anderson provided during the traffic stop. He observed the green Yamaha golf cart to the rear of the residence in addition to the five gallon gas can and a camouflage back pack containing the numerous hunting supplies. Mr. Anderson was taken into custody, placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, March 11 at 10:48 am, Tyrone Darnell Butler, 39, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko on a Grand Jury Indictment (T3-14355) issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on March 8. The original charge was Negligent Manslaughter with Motor Vehicle. Mr. Butler was taken into custody at his residence in Mechanicsville and taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending his initial appearance before the court.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: On Thursday, March 11 at 1:42 pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman responded to the 18000 block of Point Lookout Road in Park Hall for the reported Theft over $1,000.00. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 55, of Park Hall who advised unknown suspect(s) stole his maroon 2005 Kawasaki KLR650 motorcycle with Maryland registration. The motorcycle was last seen to the rear of the residence at 6:00 pm on March 10. The complainant advised he went outside the next morning around 10:00 am and the motorcycle was gone. Neighborhood checks were conducted with negative results. The motorcycle has been entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, March 11 at 2:23 pm, Antonio Venari Perkins, 21, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. E. J. Page on a Bench Warrant (T3-14348) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 5. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Perkins was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, March 11 at 4:15 pm, Kirk Daniel Byrnes, 54, of Lusby was arrested by TFC J. R. Stern on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-14231) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on December 7, 2009. The original charge on the warrant was Theft under $100.00. Mr. Byrnes was served the warrant at the St. Mary's County Detention Center in Leonardtown where he is being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On Thursday, March 11 at 10:14 pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for the reported Disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with members of the Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad. Steven Wayne Carter, 51, of Lexington Park was asked to leave the property of the Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad and he refused. Upon contact with Mr. Carter, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Mr. Carter was ordered to leave the property and he refused by sitting down at a picnic table. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. Mr. Carter was charged with Public Intoxication.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, March 12 at 12:11 pm, Timothy Lee Pilkerton, 36, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC M. B. Adams on a Bench Warrant (T3-14356) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 5. The original charge is Driving on a Revoked License. Mr. Pilkerton was served the warrant at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE, DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, March 13 at 11:55 pm, Cpl. M. W. Laney responded to the 23000 block of Colton Point Road in Clements for the reported fight in progress. Upon arrival, the fight had stopped and all parties were interviewed. The suspect, Timothy Allen Young, 49, of Bushwood was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a CDS smoking device with Cocaine. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Disorderly Intoxication Endanger the Safety of Another, 2 counts of 2nd Degree Assault, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
