MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (August 17, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, August 12 at 2:07am, TFC C. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 235 and First Colony Boulevard on a silver Toyota Camry for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, TFC Evans observed CDS paraphernalia in plain view on the floor board of the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed additional paraphernalia and CDS. Subsequently, Dale Lee Justus, Jr., 18, of Hollywood, Thomas Charles Richardson, 18, of California and a female juvenile, 17, of Hollywood, were arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Ecstasy, and Possession of Paraphernalia. The juvenile was transported to the Maryland State Police Barrack and released to a guardian pending further action by juvenile services. Mr. Justus and Mr. Richardson were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $1000: On Thursday, August 12 at 12:15pm, TFC J. S. Gibson responded to the Lowes Home Improvement at 45075 Worth Ave in California for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 43, of Lusby, who advised she witnessed Kenneth Lee Smith, 47, of Callaway, attempt to conceal merchandise on his person and exit to the establishment without payment. Mr. Smith was stopped and detained until law enforcement arrived on scene. All items were recovered and Mr. Smith was issued a criminal citation, preliminary court date, and a no trespass order.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, August 13 at 3:55pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman served a bench warrant (T3-13099) on Francis Augustius Gross, 50, of Waldorf. The warrant was issued on October 17, 2007 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of CDS Possession - Not Marijuana. Mr. Gross was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Friday, August 13 at 5:00pm, Cpl. J. L. Linger responded to the Sheetz at 22711 Three Notch Road in California for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 21, of Marbury, who advised that a female subject attempted to conceal two maps and exit the establishment without paying for them. When attempts to stop the subject were made she continued into the area of Hickory Hills Shopping Center. With the description provided by the complainant, a deputy with the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department located the female and returned her to the Sheetz where she was positively identified. Heather Nicole Young, 25, of California, was arrested for Theft Under $100.00 and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Ms. Young will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Saturday, August 14 at 11:04pm, TFC M. J. Pitcher responded to the 24900 block of Old Three Notch Road in Hollywood for a reported assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with a juvenile complainant, 16, of Hollywood, who advised she was assaulted by Jean Pierre Lahargoue, 21, of Hollywood. TFC Pitcher conducted interviews with the complainant, a witness, and Mr. Lahargoue, and following facts and evidence provided by all parties placed Mr. Lahargoue under arrest for Second Degree Assault. Mr. Lahargoue was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, August 15 at 6:34pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton arrested Jamie Lynn Parady, 28, of Barstow, on a bench warrant (T3-13887) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on April 9, 2009 with an original charge of Forgery - Private Documents. Ms. Parady was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, August 16 at 4:30am, TFC M. J. Pitcher arrested Ronnie David Tippett, 21, of Waldorf, on a bench warrant (T3-14508) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on July 13. The warrant had an original charge of Driving On a Revoked License. Mr. Tippett was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
