LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Sept. 16, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, September 1, at 11:45am, TFC C. M. Evans served a Fugitive Arrest Warrant (T3- 14560) on Shannon Ann Lee, 32, of Glen Burnie. The fugitive warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on September 1 as a result of an outstanding warrant through Alexandria, Virginia. Ms. Lee will maintain in the St. Mary's County Detention Center until extradited on the original warrant charges.
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, September 11, at 12:08am, TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 246 and Lexwood Drive on a green Chevrolet Cavalier after the vehicle almost collided with his own while turning onto Lexwood Drive. Upon making contact with the driver, a female juvenile, 17, of Mechanicsville, TFC Gresko observed in plain view, CDS in a cup holder. After identifying all occupants of the vehicle, additional CDS Paraphernalia was turned over to TFC Gresko. Arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia were Marty Dakwan Smith, 19, of Lexington Park; a juvenile female, 17, of Mechanicsville; and a juvenile male, 17, of California. Mr. Smith was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged accordingly. Both juveniles were transported to the Leonardtown Barrack and released to guardians pending further action by juvenile services. Mr. Smith was held at the Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, September 11, at 10:01am, TFC C. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a tan Toyota Camry on Ruby's Lane just in from Maryland Route 5 for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the vehicle and its occupants, TFC Evans detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A MVA query indicated that the driver, Timothy Wayne Bush, Jr., 24, of Leonardtown, had suspended driving privileges through the state of Maryland. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed various forms of CDS Paraphernalia, and Marijuana. Arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia was Rachel Michelle Hancock, 21, of Leonardtown; Darien Marcel Bush, 23, of Leonardtown; and driver Timothy Wayne Bush, Jr., 24, of Leonardtown. All subjects were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Monday, September 13, at 12:27am, TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a gold Mazda in the area of Maryland Route 242 and Maryland Route 234 for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver, Roland Octavious Boone, 29, of Bushwood, TFC Gresko detected the odor of alcohol emitting from Mr. Boone's breath. Mr. Boone subsequently failed a field sobriety test conducted on the scene of the traffic stop and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. A search of the vehicle incident to Mr. Boone's arrested revealed an open alcoholic beverage as well as CDS and Paraphernalia in the possession of passenger, Nicole Diane Tyer, 25, of Bushwood. Ms. Tyer was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. Mr. Boone was handled in accordance with DUI arrest procedures.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, September 15, at 7:03pm, TFC M. A. Moore arrested Daniel Thomas Stephens, 19, of Mechanicsville, on a Bench Warrant (T3-14579) issued by the District Court of Anne Arundel County. The warrant was issued on September 2, 2010 with an original charge of CDS Possession - Marijuana and CDS - Possession of Paraphernalia. Mr. Stephens was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
