Two Men Stabbed in Solomons Bar


Suspect Escapes Unidentified Before Police Arrive

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (November 2, 2010)—The Calvert Investigate Team (CIT) reports that two men were stabbed by an unknown black male early Sunday morning inside Calypso Bay Bar & Grille located at 120 Charles Street in Solomons. The first victim, Terry E. Bailey, 26, of Lusby, was flown to PG Shock Trauma by Trooper 7 and underwent surgery for his injury. A second individual, whose name police have not released, suffered a non life-threatening stab wound to the leg as the suspect descended the stairs while fleeing the scene.

Police say Bailey's brother was working inside the bar at the time of the incident.

Units from the Calvert County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police, Prince Frederick Barrack responded to the crime scene at approximately 1:30 a.m. Dep. A. Locke conducted the initial investigation.

Det. J. Ewig, of CIT, is conducting the ongoing investigation.
