MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (February 28, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 5:30pm, while serving an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14717) on Denise Lachelle Williams, 42, of California, TFC E. M. Evans and Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann located CDS and CDS Paraphernalia on Ms. Williams' person while performing a search incident to arrest. Ms. Williams was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged accordingly. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE, VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER: On Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 12:45am, TFC M. A. Moore responded to the Wal-Mart in the 45000 block of Miramar Way in California for a reported Violation of a Protective Order. Upon arrival, TFC Moore made contact with Cpl. M. W. Laney, who had arrived prior to him, and the suspect, Sara Elizabeth Davis, 19, of Leonardtown. According to accounts of the situation, Ms. Davis approached a female victim, 18, of Great Mills, who holds an active protective order against her while in the Wal-Mart store. Ms. Davis' contact was in violation of the stipulation set forth in the order. Also while arriving on scene, Cpl. Laney observed Ms. Davis assault the victim. Subsequently, Sara Davis was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged accordingly and held pending bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 10:57am, TFC E. J. Page served a Bench Warrant (T3-14767) on Brandi Marie Beckett, 27, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on January 27, 2011 with an original charge of Theft Less Than $1000.00. Ms. Beckett was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 12:26pm, TFC M. J. Pitcher responded to the intersection of Maryland Route 5 and Maryland Route 246 for a reported fight on a school bus. Upon arrival contact was made with a female complainant, 30, of Lexington Park who advised she observed a female juvenile, 11, of Great Mills assaulting a female victim, 11, of Lexington Park, while on the school bus. Based on information provided by all parties involved, the female juvenile was arrested for Second Degree Assault. The juvenile was released on scene to a guardian pending further action by juvenile services.

PRESCRIPTION FRAUD: On Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 4:46pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to Tidewater Pharmacy in the 28000 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville for a reported fraud. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 45, of Leonardtown, who advised a male subject entered the establishment and attempted to fill a fraudulent prescription. Information regarding the prescription and issuer validity was in question and attempts to verify proved the prescription fraudulent. Claude Richard Carpenter, 2nd, 29, of Lusby was arrested for attempting to obtain a prescription by fraud. A search incident to arrest found Mr. Carpenter in possession of CDS - Not Marijuana, and additional prescriptions both fraudulent and valid. Mr. Carpenter was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 10:45pm, TFC E. M. Evans served a Bench Warrant (T3-14616) on Terrill L. Bradford, 30, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued for Mr. Bradford's arrest on October 7, 2010 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The original charge was Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Mr. Bradford was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $1000: On Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 5:47pm, TFC M. J. Pitcher stopped a vehicle matching the description provided in an Emergency Communications Center broadcast related to a shoplifting at the Belk Department Store in the Wildewood Shopping Center. The vehicle, a blue Dodge, was stopped at the intersection of Maryland Route 235 and Wildewood Boulevard. Upon making contact with the occupants, TFC Pitcher determined the female passenger, Lushauna Ashley Clinton, 23, of Lexington Park, matched the description provided of the shoplifter. Ms. Clinton was detained and transported back to the Department store where she was positively identified as the shoplifter. Loss Prevention Staff advised the female was observed removing merchandise from the establishment and exiting without purchasing the items. Property was returned to Loss Prevention Staff and Ms. Clinton was placed under arrest for Theft Under $1000.00. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 3:57pm, Tpr. S. Casarella served a Bench Warrant (T3-14810) on Brian Michael Lockwood, 50, of Hollywood. The warrant was issued on February 18, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of CDS Possession - Marijuana. Mr. Lockwood was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, February 28, 2011 at 2:27am, Tpr. S. M. Morton served a Bench Warrant (T3-14808) on Jordan Corbett Coles, 22, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued for Mr. Coles' arrest on February 22, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The original charge was Driving Without A Required License. Mr. Coles was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
