LA PLATA, Md. (April 28, 2011)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARY: On April 27 between 12:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m., unknown suspects kicked in the back door of a house in the 4200 block of Drake Court in Waldorf and stole a television and a computer. The scene was processed for evidence.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: On April 27 between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., unknown suspects stole a catalytic converter from a car parked at the Park and Ride on Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf. No other thefts were reported.

BURGLARY: On April 27 at 11:48 a.m., two unknown males broke into a house in the 10100 block of Astill Court in Waldorf. The homeowner spotted the suspects who fled upon being observed. A cell phone was reported stolen.

TWO TEENS CHARGED WITH THEFT: On April 23 at 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the 4700 block of Broadview Place for the report of a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, they made contact with the homeowner who had one of the suspects - a 13-year-old male - in custody. Responding officers apprehended a second suspect, 13, near the wood line of the victim's property. A subsequent investigation revealed the suspects were responsible for trying to steal several cars earlier in the week and were successful in the theft of a car on Sweet Corn Place. In addition, officers found a watch on one of the youths that was subsequently traced back to a previous theft. The youths were charged with theft and released to their parents.

TEEN CHARGED WITH ROBBERY: On April 23 at about 9:30 p.m., a 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with the robbery of three teens outside the Food Court at the St. Charles Town Center. According to the victims, the suspect approached them and demanded they empty their pockets. The victims complied and the suspect, who is vaguely known to them, fled. He was later arrested and charged with robbery.

ROBBERY: On April 16 at 9:59 p.m., officers responded to the Thunderbird Motel in Bel Alton for the report of a robbery. The victim, who was renting a room, reported he left his door ajar and three masked men walked in, displayed a gun and demanded money. The victim told the suspects he did not have money at which time the suspects assaulted him. The suspects then fled with the keys to the victim's car, his wallet and computer. The victim retrieved a handgun and ran after the suspects, firing shots at their vehicle as they fled from the parking lot in a dark-colored passenger car. At this point, it does not appear anyone was struck and the investigation is continuing.
