Charles County Sheriff's Reports


LA PLATA, Md. (October 20, 2011)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SWEEP: On Oct. 19, members of the CCSO Domestic Violence Unit, Child Support Unit, and the Warrant/Fugitive Unit conducted a warrant sweep as part of the National Family Violence Apprehension Detail in which law enforcement agencies focus efforts on serving domestic violence warrants, child support warrants and child abuse warrants. A total of 33 service attempts were made which resulted in the service of 14 arrest warrants and 1 civil paper. Maryland State Police and the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office assisted.

BURGLARY: On Oct. 19 between 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., suspect(s) broke into a house in the 4000 block of Hanson Road in White Plains and stole TV's and a computer.

BURGLARY: On Oct. 18 between 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., suspects(s) broke into a house in the 900 block of Truro Lane in Waldorf and stole costume jewelry.

BURGLARY: On Oct. 18 between 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., suspect(s) broke into a house in the 3500 block of Pine Cone Circle in Waldorf and stole game systems and electronics. The house had not been locked prior to the occupants leaving.
