PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (April 16, 2012)—The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of April 9-15, deputies responded to 1,497 calls for service hroughout the community.

THEFT: Someone stole a Virgin Mobile Samsung Triumph phone valued at $230 from inside an unsecured locker at the Edward T. Hall Aquatics Center on Auto Drive in Huntingtown. The theft, which occurred on April 13 between 4:30 p.m. and 5:40 p.m., is being investigated by DFC V. Evans.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Someone stole an IPOD charger cord from an unlocked vehicle outside a home on Chesapeake Avenue in St. Leonard overnight between April 8 and 9. A second vehicle appeared to have been rummaged through but nothing was taken. DFC J. Hardesty is investigating.

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole a 17-foot two toned in color blue and gray Criss Craft boat with a Mercruiser engine and one E-Z loader boat trailer, altogether valued at $15,610, from the driveway of a home on Harbor Drive in Lusby overnight between April 11 and 12. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC C. McDonough at 410-535-2800.

THEFTS FROM VEHICLES: Sometime between April 13 at 8:00 p.m. and April 14 at 7:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) stole two headrest DVD players and some coins from an unlocked vehicle on Regency Drive in St. Leonard. Another unlocked vehicle on Majesty Lane in St. Leonard was also entered and a Sony HD digital camcorder and Cannon digital camera, together valued at $1400, were stolen. A third victim, who resides on Majesty Lane, advised his unlocked vehicle was entered but nothing appeared to be missing. DFC C. Johnson is investigating the thefts.

DRUG ARREST: On April 15 at 12:21 a.m., while patrolling the parking lot of the Calypso Bay Crab House on Charles Street in Solomons, DFC V. Evans smelled suspected marijuana. He approached a vehicle and noticed the smell becoming stronger. After making contact with the two occupants he found one to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and charged Jonathan Matthew Richardson, 22 of Great Mills, on a criminal citation with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a syringe and straight razor.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Two 16-year-old males were charged on youth reports with destruction of property by DFC D. Deakins on April 15 after they were caught lighting firecrackers inside mailboxes on Vigilant Court in Dunkirk. One juvenile resides in Dunkirk and the other is from Huntingtown. They were released to a parent.

NEGLIGENT DRIVING, FLEEING AND ELUDING: Twin brothers were arrested after a high speed chase that began on Md. Rt. 4 southbound at Sherry Lane in Prince Frederick and ended on Broomes Island Road and Oyster House Road in Broomes Island. On April 15 at 4:59 p.m. Cpl. A. Moschetto observed 5 to 6 motorcyclists take off from the light at Sherry Lane at a high rate of speed. Cpl. Moschetto activated radar and determined three of the cyclists to be traveling at speeds of 107 in a 45 m.p.h. zone. Cpl. Moschetto attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The three cyclists turned onto Broomes Island Road and traveled at a speed of 125 m.p.h. Cpl. Moschetto lost sight of the cycles and was informed by Sgt. J. Hollinger, who was in the area, that he stopped two of the cycles at Oyster House Road. Eric Rennell Boone, 41 and Derrick Donnell Boone, 41, both of Upper Marlboro, were both arrested by Moschetto and charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, negligent driving and speeding 100+ in a 45 m.p.h. zone.
