LA PLATA, Md. (May 16, 2012)—The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) has released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST, SUSPENDED LICENSE: On May 13 at approximately 1756 hours, Trooper K. Burroughs was on routine patrol in the area of Route 925 and Holly Lane when he observed a silver Eclipse cross over the solid white line by half a car width. Trooper Burroughs initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Tony Oshea Hicks, 43, of Annapolis. A check through MVA revealed that Hicks’ license was suspended for child support non-compliance. Hicks’ was arrested, and TFC W. Posey arrived on the scene to assist. Hicks was charged with possession of marijuana, phencyclidine, and paraphernalia.

DRUG ARREST: On May 6 at approximately 0029 hours, TFC J. Edelen was on patrol southbound route 301 north of Holly Tree Avenue when he observed a green Ford Explorer traveling in lane 1 cross into lane 2 more than two tire widths on three occasions. TFC Edelen initiated a traffic stop and made contact with Antoine William Huff, 22, of Waldorf, when he observed marijuana on the drivers lap. Trooper D. Taylor arrived on the scene to assist. Huff was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
