Huntingtown Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md.—Maryland State Police report that a Huntingtown man died Thursday night in a single vehicle motorcycle accident. Police say George Wesley Goff, III, age 49, was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle around 10:33 pm traveling east on Huntingtown Road in the area of Hinton Drive in Huntingtown. The motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway briefly and then came back onto the road where it skidded out of control and struck a guardrail.

Mr. Goff was transported by the Huntingtown Volunteer Rescue Squad to Calvert Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Member of the Calvert County Sheriff's Office Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this accident is asked to contact Trooper First Class West at the Prince Frederick Barrack at 410-535-1400.
