MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 24, 2012)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) has released the following incident and arrest reports.

UNAUTHORIZED USE: On Thursday, July 19, at 1:57pm, TFC M. Pitcher conducted a traffic stop on an orange Chevrolet sedan traveling north on Three Notch Road, just south of Rue Purchase Road for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Pitcher was able to positively identify the operator as Mallory Alexis Vaughn, 19, of Lexington Park. At the time of the traffic stop, Ms. Vaughn did not have the appropriate license to be operating the vehicle alone. Contact was made with Vaughn's mother who was unaware that Vaughn had the vehicle. After the conversation with Vaughn's mother, she was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Thursday, July 19, at 7:29pm, Tpr. S. Morton responded to the 27000 block of Birch Manor Circle in Mechanicsville. Upon her arrival, Tpr. Morton made contact with the female complainant, 27, of Mechanicsville, who stated that she had been assaulted by John Warren Cleaveland, 24, of Mechanicsville. Based on the information provided from the complainant and suspect, Tpr. Morton arrested Mr. Cleaveland for Second Degree Assault. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, July 20, at 12:07am, Tpr D. Buckalew conducted a traffic stop on a silver Chevrolet sedan traveling on Three Notch Road, south of Morganza Turner Road in Mechanicsville for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, Tpr Buckalew positively identified the operator as Terrence Teron Mason, 18, of Morganza. While on the traffic stop, Tpr. Buckalew detected the odor of burnt CDS emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed both CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Mason was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, July 21, at 12:40am, Senior Tpr. A. Malaspina served a Bench Warrant (T3-15608) on Ronald Lee Hartley, 22, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Calvert County with an original charge of Disorderly Conduct on July 16. Mr. Hartley was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

TRESPASSING: On Sunday, July 22, at 7:57pm, TFC N. Gresko responded to the 23000 block of Dusty Meadow Lane in California. Upon Arrival, TFC Gresko made contact with Amanda Kathleen Wood, 29, of California. TFC Gresko also made contact with the complainant, 30, of California. The complainant was able to provide a copy of the notice not to trespass issued to Ms. Wood on July 4. Ms. Wood was charged on a criminal citation with trespassing and released from the scene with a mandatory court date.

DRUG ARREST: On Monday, July 16, at 12:32pm, TFC J. Gibson conducted a traffic stop on a silver Plymouth sedan traveling on Loveville Road, in the area of Busy Corner Road in Mechanicsville for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Gibson was able to positively identify the operator as Nicholas Shaw Craig, 20, of Prince Frederick. Mr. Craig stated he had a warrant out for his arrest. TFC Gibson was able to confirm the warrant and arrested Craig. TFC Gibson also noticed what appeared to be CDS paraphernalia in plain sight and when he asked Craig about the paraphernalia he also stated that there was CDS in the vehicle as well. Both CDS and CDS Paraphernalia were recovered from the vehicle. Mr. Craig was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, July 17, at 11:15am, TFC G. Thompson served a Bench Warrant (T3-15598) on Brittany Nicole Prinsen, 25, of Waldorf. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Charles County with an original charge of Driving while Suspended on July 12. Ms. Prinsen was located during a routine traffic stop and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, July 17, at 1:15pm, TFC M. Pitcher served a Bench Warrant (T3-15593) on Shannon Natasha Williams, 25, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving while Suspended on July 11. Ms. Williams turned herself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review by the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, July 17, at 8:52pm, Tpr S. Morton served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15568) on Sherry Lynn King, 37, of California. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Theft Less Then a Thousand Dollars on June 30. Ms. King was located at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bind review by the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, July 17, at 9:46pm, Tpr S. Morton served a Bench Warrant (T3-15573) on Antonio Derrell Washington, 23, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving Under the Influence on July 6. Mr. Washington was located at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, July 18, at 7:25pm, Tpr S. Morton served a Bench Warrant (T3-15589) on Britain Jeremy Gill, 23, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District of Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of CDS Possession of Marijuana on July 11. Mr. Gill was located at his address and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, July 18, at 10:10pm, TFC M. Moore served a Bench Warrant (T3-15592) on Harvey Leonard Stewart, Jr., 22, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving while Suspended on July 11. Mr. Stewart turned himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
