MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (September 10, 2012)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, September 6, at 8:08am, TFC M. Pitcher served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15669) on Joseph Kenneth Abell, 46, of Hollywood. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Possession of CDS on September 5. Mr. Abell was located at St. Mary's Hospital and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, September 6, at 1:35pm, TFC R. Rezza served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15670) on Michael Wayne Weston, Jr., 35, of California. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Telephone Misuse on September 6. Mr. Weston was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, September 6, at 4:00pm, TFC G. Thompson served a Bench Warrant (T3-15662) on Ralph Arthur Tawney, Jr., 52, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Assault Second Degree on August 28. Mr. Tawney was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, September 7, at 3:05pm, TFC M. Pitcher served a Bench Warrant (T3-15673) on Ronald Lee Hartley, 26, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Calvert County with an original charge of Disorderly Conduct on September 6. Mr. Hartley was located during a non-related investigation and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $1000: On Friday, September 7, at 5:10pm, Cpl. M. Laney responded to Best Buy located at 45235 Worth Avenue in California, for a reported theft in progress. Upon arrival, Cpl. Laney made contact with the Loss Prevention Officer, who stated the suspect, Garran Lee O'Connor, 22, of Tall Timbers, attempted to steal a Toshiba Excite Tablet from the store. After speaking with several employees as well as Mr. O'Connor, Cpl. Laney arrested Mr. O'Connor and transported him to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, September 7, at 11:45pm, Cpl. F. Logsdon served a Bench Warrant (T3-15502) on Thomas Dewayne Ford, 37, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving While Suspended on May 9. Mr. Ford was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, September 10, at 5:31am, Tpr. D. Buckalew served a Bench Warrant (T3-15674) on Stacy Lynn Sboto, 36, of Callaway. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving While Intoxicated on September 7. Ms. Sboto was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
