Health Share assures that the cost of services provided is tailored to the individual circumstance of each patient. Health Share is a joint effort of local St. Mary's County Physicians, St. Mary's Hospital. St. Mary's County Health Department, and St. Mary's County Department of Social Services. Who is Eligible?Health Share is meant to serve those people who cannot afford the full cost of medical services, but do not qualify for Medical Assistance in general. Our goal is to serve those above the Medical Assistance level but below the Federal Poverty Level. For a family of four, this means a monthly income from $500 up to $1.944. Eligibility will be determined by the St. Mary's County Department of Social Services. Recipients will be recertified every three months.
