In the fast-paced world in which we live today it’s easy to feel lonely and out of touch with people. Everyone wants to feel loved and accepted, but often its difficult to find a place where people really care. We believe the church is to take a genuine interest in people and is to be a place of genuine care. We believe church is not a place just for those who have their lives together. We all have our share of problems, but recognize our need for God and each other. We want you to sense this kind of belonging.

Good Samaritan Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) is located in Waldorf, Maryland, about 20 miles southeast of Washington, DC. GSPC is a congregation of about 250 active members, drawn mostly from the Waldorf, La Plata area of Charles County and from surrounding communities in St. Mary's, Calvert, and southern Prince Georges counties. GSPC is currently the only PCUSA congregation in the Charles County area. GSPC and the other Presbyterian churches in the greater Washington DC area belong to the National Capital Presbytery. If you visit with us, you will be joining with us in the most important of all human activities: the worship of the living God. It is our sincere hope and prayer that you will find your worship experience to be encouraging, challenging, and invigorating, renewing you in the knowledge of God and the wonderful hope that we have through the Gospel of Christ. Most of all, we hope that God will be glorified by the worship we render to him.

Each Lord's Day (Sunday) Pastor Edd Cathey leads us in classical Christ-centered worship of the Triune God. In this worship we meet with God at His call, confess our sins and receive his grace and blessing. God speaks to us in the reading and preaching of His word, and we respond in praise and obedient love. We frequently celebrate the Lord's Supper, in which we share in the body and blood of Jesus in the elements of communion by faith through the Holy Spirit.

Worship at Grace and Peace Presbyterian Church is: Recognized as an initiative of the Trinity; God-Centered; Dialogical; Covenantal; Objective; Formal and Reverent; Corporate and Participatory; and Historic and Reformed.

Sunday Worship is at 10:00 am.

La Plata Community Church seeks to be a church that warmly receives all people of the community and communicates the truths of the Reformed faith in manner that is understandable and convincing. People of the community will know and experience the new life that is found in the Lord Jesus Christ. We currently meet for Sunday worship at the Charles County Adult Day Care Center (at the intersection of Rt. 488 and Rt. 6). Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 9:30 AM and is followed by Sunday School for all ages at 11:00 AM. We have small group Bible studies that meet in homes throughout the week.
