Linda Karlon Cowan, age 82 of Hughesville, Maryland died April 17, 2019 at her residence. Linda was a secretary for 20 plus years at the Department of Energy (U.S. Government) and was a member of the Ladies of Elk. She helped build houses with her husband and was devoted to her son (with Down's Syndrome) for 54 years, he was her life.

She was the daughter of Otto Hermann Friedrich Karlon and Linda Klara Kloth Karlon. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Robert Samuel Cowan and her son, Richard P. Cowan. She is survived by her sons, Robert E. Cowan and Paul M. Cowan (Madeline); her sister, Sonia McKenna; and her grandchildren, Nicole, Zack, and Andrew. She is also survived by 1 great-great grandchild.
