Ronda Bernice Copeland, age 60, of Indian Head, MD died on November 10, 2019, at her residence with her family by her side. Ronda was a lifetime resident of Charles County, born on March 17, 1959 in La Plata, MD.

She was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church and worked for local nursing homes as an Activities Coordinator for over 20 years. Ronda loved flowers and gardening with her husband. She was an avid fan of NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr., and the Redskins football team. She love to listen to music by Hank Williams and shopping on QVC. Christmas was her favorite holiday; she always had fun driving around and looking at the lights and decorations. Most of all, Ronda loved spending time with her grandchildren and family; her mom, Joan, was her best friend, whom she missed dearly.

Ronda is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald "Ronnie" Danielson and Joan Thompson Danielson. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert Alan Copeland; son, Robert Alan Copeland, Jr. (Rachael); two daughters, Amy Renee Zimmerman (Justin) and Laura Ann Copeland; two brothers, Derek (Peggy) and David Danielson; two sisters, Jackie Willett and Mary Kieffer; and five grandchildren, Jake, Ryan and Grant Zimmerman, and Ryder and Raelee Copeland.

A viewing for Ronda will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel in La Plata. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11AM at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Indian Head. Interment will immediately follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Indian Head.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Copeland, Ronnie Copeland, Art Turlington, David Danielson, Derek Danielson, Justin Zimmerman, and Jake Zimmerman. Honorary Pallbearers are Ryan Zimmerman and Ryder Copeland. Memorial contributions in Ronda's name may be made to Sagepoint Senior Living (10200 La Plata Rd., La Plata, MD 20646).
