Frances Wilkinson Duke, 83, of Leonardtown, MD passed away on May 18, 2020 at her home with her loving family at her side.

She was born on September 29, 1936, in Leonardtown, MD, to the late Joseph P. Wilkinson, Jr. and Helen Genevieve Bowles.

Frances is a 1954 graduate of St. Mary's Academy. She was employed by County Trust Bank and Maryland National Bank from 1954 to 1963. She was a dedicated insurance agent for Combs and Drury Insurance Agency from 1964 to her retirement. On May 14, 1988 she married her beloved husband, Joseph Clinton Booth Duke, Sr. Together they celebrated over 25 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in August 2013. She was an avid Washington Nationals Fan and enjoyed cheering them to victory in the World Series 2019.

Frances is survived by her children: Janet Pettersen (Ken) of Lusby, MD, Richard Lacey (Donna) of Hollywood, MD, Anthony Lacey (Sharon) of Hollywood, MD, Donald Lacey (Ginny) of Avenue, MD Brenda Filby (Michael) of Leonardtown, MD, Ruth Damrau (Bob) of Reno, NV, and Robert Lacey, Jr. (Denise) of Frederick, MD; her siblings: Catherine W. Doering of Leonardtown, MD, Dorothy W. Fenwick (Budgie) of Leonardtown, MD, Patricia W. Dameron (Greg) of Leonardtown, MD, and Karen W. Behrens of LaPlata, MD; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; her special friend and companion, Jackie Berry Butler; and many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband and her siblings, Ellen W. Hall and Joseph A. Wilkinson, Sr.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., with a Funeral Service celebrated by Reverend David Beaubien at 1:15 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will be private.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Lacey, Donald Lacey, Robert Lacey, George Hall III, Joseph Quade and Justin Collins.
