Southern Maryland Aikido Center, located in the center of Waldorf, Maryland, offers traditional Aikikai Aikido classes for Adults and Children.  Aikido is a non-competitive martial art that emphasizes flowing movement, control of balance, utilizing an opponent's energy, and control through joint locks.  Our new dojo offers 900 sq feet of training mat space with dressing rooms, bathroom and sitting area.

Southern Maryland Aikido Center is member of the United States Aikido Federation and is also affiliated with Capital Aikikai, headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland. The USAF is the largest Aikido organization in the United States and is directly affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan. Members of Southern Maryland Aikido Center are able to test and earn rank recognized by aikido organizations around the world.  All students are welcome to join or train, regardless of prior affiliation.
