CDS Violation

On November 5th, 2004 at 7:35 pm, Dfc Gregory conducted a patrol check under the Thomas Johnson Bridge in Solomons, Md. He observed a red Ford Ranger Pick-up truck parked under the bridge. He approached the vehicle and detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the truck. A search of the occupants revealed a plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed a multi-colored glass pipe containing suspected marijuana residue. Benjamin Albright, 19 years of age of Hollywood, Md. and William Dulaney, 18 years of age of Hollywood, Md. were placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where they were charged with possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia.

Theft

On November 6th, 2004 at 1:07 pm, Dfc Wilson responded to the North Beach Fastop for a reported theft. He was advised that a white female pumped gas into her Dodge Durango and left the pumps without paying for the fuel. Investigation continues.

Destruction of Property

On November 11th, 2004 at 8:00am, Dfc Wahlgren responded to the 1100 block of Aztec Lane, Lusby, Md. for a reported destruction of property complaint. The complainant said, unknown person(s) entered the residence that is under construction and shot the walls with a paintball gun. It is unknown as to how the suspects entered the house. Anyone with information on this case should contact Dfc. Wahlgren at 410 535-2800. Investigation is continuing.

Disorderly Conduct

On November 12th, 2004 at 8:24pm, Dfc Phelps observed an individual, later identified as Peter Johnson Jr., 20 years of age of North Beach, Md. walking down the middle of the Chesapeake Ave. in North Beach, Md. Dfc Phelps told Johnson to use the sidewalk and stay out of the roadway. Johnson, yelled several obscenities and said he would walk where he wanted to walk. Dfc Phelps attempted to place Johnson under arrest. Johnson resisted and a short struggle ensued. Johnson was placed in handcuffs and was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

Theft

On November 12th, 2004 at 2:30pm, Dfc. Wahlgren responded to the Food Lion Store in Solomons, Md. for a reported shoplifter in custody. Dfc Wahlgren contacted the store manager who had a suspect in custody. Mark Smith, 36 years of age with no fixed address, was seen leaving the store with five packages of steaks under his jacket. Dfc Wahlgren placed Smith under arrest and charged him with theft. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Robbery

On November 12th, 2004 at 5:30pm, Cpl. Hollinger and Cpl Fridman responded to the area of 80 Holiday Drive, Solomons, Md. for a reported robbery. The victim said she was walking from the bank to her place of employment when a when an unknown suspect grabbed her from behind and demanded her money. She complied and was released. The suspect ran from the scene, a search by the Maryland State Police K-9 was conducted without success. Theft

On November 21st, 2004 at 5:02am, Dfc Foote responded the 700 block of Sky View Drive, Lusby, Md. for a reported theft. The victim said a blow-up Christmas figure was stolen from her yard between 9:30pm on November 20th and 4:45am on November 21st.
There are no suspects at this time.

Fleeing and Eluding/Resisting Arrest/False Statement

On November 27th, 2004 at 1:29am, Dfc Phelps attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Rt 260 and Cedar Run Lane, Dunkirk, Md. The suspect vehicle refused to stop and was pursued into Anne Arundel County. The suspect vehicle entered the driveway of a house under construction on Mallard Lane. The suspect vehicle got stuck and the driver and the passenger fled from the vehicle. Dfc Phelps and Trooper Davis gave chase on foot and were able to locate and placed the suspects under arrest. The driver identified himself as Keith Jones the passenger confirmed the driver’s name. It was later learned the driver had given a false name and the passenger had given a false statement. Based on observations made at the scene the driver; Kevin Holland 27 years of age of Chesapeake Beach, Md. was arrested and charged with DUI, Fleeing and Eluding and false statement. The passenger; Mikeya Ryland, 26 years old of Landover, Md. was charged with Hindering and False Statement. They were both transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

CDS Violation

On November 27th, 2004 at 1:30pm, Dep Milam conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Main St. and Calvertown Dr. Prince Frederick, Md. Based on observations made during the stop a search of the vehicle and it’s occupants was conducted, a small amount of suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle and a baggie containing suspected marijuana was located in the pants pocket of Jerome Brooks, 19 years old of Prince Frederick, Md. Brooks was placed under arrest for possession of CDS. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing.
