During the month of April 2006, Patrol Officers responded to a reported rape of a juvenile female, age 10. The investigation was turned over to the Detectives of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations. It was discovered that the Suspect, Thomas Clements Wood (Age 43 of Mechanicsville) had sexually assaulted the 10 year old female on more than one (1) occasion.
A warrant was issued and Suspect Wood was arrested. He posted $50,000.00 bond and was released. The bond, shortly thereafter, was revoked and he is currently incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
