St. Mary's County Administrator To Retire Jan. 31, Savich to Assume Helm


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - After more than eight years of service, George G. Forrest, St. Mary's County Administrator, has announced his retirement from St. Mary’s County Government. Forrest’s retirement will be effective January 31, 2007.

The Board of County Commissioners will begin a nation-wide search for candidates to fill the position. In the interim, John Savich will assume the duties of County Administrator, while continuing to fill his responsibilities as Director of Economic and Community Development.
