St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

Dale Eugene Dean (Age 36 of Valley Lee) was involved in a motor vehicle accident in the Hollywood area. Suspect Dean attempted to flee the area when Deputies arrived and a chase ensued. Suspect Dean was found to be wanted five (5) times through St. Mary's and Montgomery County. A search incident to the arrest revealed one hundred (100) grams of cocaine with a value of more than $10,000.00. as well as a small quantity of marijuana. Suspect Dean was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest and Theft under $100.00. The theft charge was related to the tags on the vehicle he was operating were stolen. Deputies Cowan and K-9 Fleenor were the investigating Deputies.

Lisa Harewood-Ramsey (Age 30 of Brooklyn, New York) was arrested for Disorderly Conducted after her actions outside a Lexington Park bar required Deputy intervention. Deputy James Stone was the investigating Deputy.

Michael Allen King (Age 34 of California, Md) was stopped for a seatbelt violation by Deputy David Corcoran. A driver's license check revealed Suspect King was suspended to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Maryland. A search incident to the arrest revealed numerous prescription medications, to include methadone, in Suspect King's possession. He was charged with Controlled Dangerous Substance Violations as well.

Deputies Cara Grumbles and Michael Worrey were at a Lexington Park establishment and a dispute arose over a bill. Suspect Ali Mitaka McQueen (Age 21 of Patuxent River) became disorderly and began shouting profanities. She was told several times to cease her actions and she refused. She was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order of a Police Officer.

Deputy James Stone responded to a reported "prowler" at a Hollywood neighborhood. He located and detained Suspect Steven Allen Brooks (Age 19 of Hollywood). It was determined that Suspect Brooks entered the victim's home to "talk to" the victim's daughter. He was there unannounced and uninvited, however is familiar with the family. He was arrested and charged with burglary 4th degree. Suspect Brooks was also served with a Criminal Summons for Burglary 1st and 4th Degree as well as Theft. Those charges were filed by Deputy Kevin Meyer as a result of an investigation he completed. The victim's of that crime were the same as the initial crime indicated in this release.

Deputy James Stone responded to a Lexington Park Apartment Complex for the reported "burglary in progress". Once on the scene Sammy Joe Johnson (Age 28 of Lexington Park) was located and found to be very intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that Suspect Johnson lives in the complex however went to the wrong apartment and entered. He was confronted by the apartment occupants as he stumbled down the hallway at 315 am. He was arrested and charged with burglary 4th degree.

Deputy Marci Faulkner responded to a Lexington Park Store for reported suspicious activity. Once on the scene it was indicated that this particular store was contacted by a related store, warning them of Suspect Michael Allen King trying to use gift cards. The suspect was asked for the receipt on the gift cards and he was unable to provide any. Deputy Faulkner questioned the suspect and it was determined that the card was stolen. He was arrested and a search incident to that arrest revealed illegal prescription drugs in the form of methadone.

Off duty Lieutenant Daniel D. Alioto responded to a 911 call for a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival he noted Brandon Girard Allen (Age 19 of Lexington Park) inside the residence. Lt. Alioto had served him with papers forbidding him from entering on the property. Suspect Allen was arrested and charged with Trespass.

Dennis Alan Vanthof (Age 32 of Lexington Park) was charged on a Criminal Citation after he stole an item valued at less than $2.00. The theft occurred while in the presence of a uniformed Police Officer. Deputy Angela Muller watched as the Suspect placed the item into his bag.

Deputy Shaun Carberry served a Criminal Summons on Jonathan Hollis Reed (Age 20 of Abell) for a felony theft case from Calvert County. Suspect Reed was charged with stealing items, to include money, from the victim's home.

Deputy Harold Young located Sterling Eugene Bollinger 3rd (Age 36 of Lexington Park) at a residence he was ordered to stay away from through the District Court. He was found to be in violation of that ordered and arrested.

David James Clay (Age 29 of Lexington Park) was arrested after a Deputy located him at a residence, with another party; he was ordered to stay away from through the District Court. Deputy James Stone was at the residence investigating a noise complaint and after encountering the suspect he found that he was not supposed to be there. Suspect Clay was arrested and charged with Violation of a Protective Order.

Kevin Michael Selinske (Age 38 of Mechanicsville) was arrested after he assaulted two (2) female victims. Deputy Shaun Carberry responded to the residence for a reported domestic assault. He noted injuries on both females. Suspect Selinske fled the residence. Deputy Carberry left the residence and returned, apprehending the suspect once he came back inside the home.

Deputy Micheal George responded to a Great Mills Store for the reported fight in progress. Upon arriving he observed three (3) parties actively assaulting one and other. They refused to cease and Deputy George utilized his Pepper Spray to get them to stop assaulting one and other. Casey Michael Kohn (Age 23 of Lexington Park), Kevin Anthony Kellis (Age 20 of California) and Amber Renee Kellis (Age 22 of Lexington Park) were arrested and charged accordingly.

Theodore Eustace Kotowski (Age 47 of Abell) was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Wayne Milam for Assault Second Degree. Suspect Kotowski assaulted a female, leaving her with visible signs of injury.

Deputy Michael Worrey was on Patrol when he observed a large group of people gathered in a parking lot off Great Mills Road. He stopped to find Tina Marie Tippett (Age 18 of Lexington Park) and Patricia Louise Tippett (Age 28 of Lexington Park) actively engaged in a physical altercation. Both parties were arrested and charged with Assault Second Degree.

Eric Lamar Carter (Age 19 of Hollywood Md.) was in the Mechanicsville area when he began fighting with another individual. Suspect Carter pulled a small caliber handgun from his front pocket and fired into the air, before pointing the weapon at the victim. Suspect Carter fled and was apprehended after he turned himself in. A spent shell casing was located at the scene, however even after an exhausting search, the weapon was not recovered. Suspect Carter was charged by the investigating Deputy Anthony Whipkey, with Assault First and Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

Frederick Kevin Bunter (Age 46 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Harold Young for Failure to Pay Child Support. The warrant was though the District Court of Calvert County.

Levi Tyrone Allen Jr. (Age 26 of Lexington Park) was arrested on an open warrant through Prince George's County District Court for Failure to Appear by Deputy David Corcoran.

Deputy Patrick Handy arrested Parker Douglas McCarty (Age 42 of Lexington Park) for Failure to Appear in the Charles County District Court.

Dennis Lee Gross (Age 27 of Lexington Park) was arrested on an open warrant related to Failure to Pay Child Support. The arrest was made by Deputy Timothy Reese.

James Herbert (Age 24 of Mechanicsville) was arrested on two (2) open warrants for Failure to Appear. The arresting Deputy was David Corcoran.

Jeffrey Wayne Hyde (Age 29 of Jefferson Md) was arrested for Violation of Probation by Deputy John Logalbo.

Dwight Leo Scriber (Age 41 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested on an open warrant for Escape First Degree. Deputy Earl Young was the arresting Deputy.

Gary Couchenour (Age 43 of Lusby, Md.) was arrested for Failure to Appear by Corporal William Hill.

On April 30th, just before midnight, off duty Lieutenant Daniel Alioto investigated two (2) suspicious vehicles in the area of the Great Mills Pool. The vehicles were unoccupied. A check of the Pool facility revealed that there were suspects inside. Suspects Anthony Stuart Meiklejohn (Age 23 of Granville Ma.) and Christopher John Kalman (Age 22 of Ridge, Md) were detained just outside the lobby area of the Pool building. Suspect Meiklejohn is an employee of the building and he utilized his position to gain access. He was found to be in possession of marijuana as well. Four (4) additional persons were located inside swimming. They were identified as Suspect Andrew Neil Karnes (Age 22 of St. Mary's City), Mary Katherine Clapp (Age 20 of Gaithersburg, Md) Amohelang Abigail Pecko-Spicer (Age 21 of Silver Springs) and Jessica Marie Porter (Age 20 of Baltimore, Md). All parties were consuming alcoholic beverages and Suspect Porter was cited for doing so while underage.

The following Suspects were charged on a Criminal Summons for passing worthless checks:

Yvonne Elizabeth Ford (Age 43 of Park Hall) by Deputy Michael Worrey

Keasha Leigh Crafton (Age 31 of California, Md.) by Deputy John Logalbo

Mary Lee Little (Age 43 of Lexington Park) by Deputy Marci Faulkner

Annette Lynn Quade-Thomas (Age 36 of Mechanicsville) by Deputy Timothy White

Patricia Jean Rice (Age 36 of Lexington Park) by Deputy Margaret Smolarsky

Erin Melissa Blend (Age 26 of Mechanicsville) by Deputy Douglas Harris
