St. Mary's County BCI Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 5, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) today released the following incident and arrest reports. BCI is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown, Maryland.

Detectives from St. Mary's County BCI are currently investigating the report of an armed robbery which occurred on June 3, 2007 at approximately 10 p.m. While the victim was in the rear parking area of the Best Western Hotel, he was approached by a black male who approximately 6' tall and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim's money. After obtaining the victim's money the suspect fled on foot.

On June 2, 2007, detectives from the St. Mary's County BCI arrested a 16 year-old male juvenile from Valley Lee for 2 counts of Attempted Murder. During the BCI investigation the juvenile solicited and undercover detective, while at a hotel in Lexington Park, to kill his parents.

On June 2nd detectives from the St. Mary's County BCI arrested John A. Supensky, 46, from Lexington Park, and charged him with 1st and 2nd Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment and Violation of a Protective Order. The arrest was a result of an incident which occurred at Supensy's residence at approximately 10:30 a.m. when, during a dispute over money, Supensky fired a shotgun in the direction of Jason M. Reintzell, who was a guest at the home.
