St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

The following Suspects were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated:

Fernando Garay (Age 20 of Lexington Park) by Deputy Deborah Milam.

James Osay Reed (Age 37 of Mechanicsville) by Deputy Richard McCoy.

Justin Lee Hill (Age 19 of Hollywood, Md.) by Deputy Michael Campbell.

Noe Espinosa Fonseca (Age 25 of Lexington Park) by Deputy Michael Campbell.

Christopher Logan Moon (Age 19 of Lexington Park) by Deputy Michael Campbell.

Barbara Ann Trossbach (Age 45 of California, Md.) by Deputy Megan Shreiner.

Deputy Jason Maletto responded to a Mechanicsville residence for the reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival it was determined that Erin Kathleen Gravely (Age 24 of Mechanicsville) had assaulted her boyfriend, who displayed visible signs of injury. She was arrested and charged with Assault Second Degree.

Deputy Richard McCoy charged Sharon Marie Sams (Age 24 of Mechanicsville) on a Criminal Summons for passing a worthless check. The check was valued at more than $186.00.

Deputy Richard McCoy responded to the reported "Man with a gun" call in the Mechanicsville area. While potential witnesses were being interviewed, a vehicle matching the description given was observed. The truck release was activated from inside the vehicle and Dwight Calvin Brown (Age 44 of Mechanicsville) was detained. Inside the vehicle's truck was a loaded shotgun. Suspect Brown was arrested and charged.

Ronald Sylvester Thomas (Age 51 of Lexington Park) was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Margaret Smolarsky for stealing gas from a Leonardtown gas station. The total amount was nearly $27.00.

Ernest Lee Smalley Jr. (Age 24 of Waldorf) was found inside the victim's vehicle. The victim was in the area visiting her daughter and when she went to her vehicle she observed the suspect inside. She doesn't know the suspect so she called the Sheriff's Office. Deputy Kevin Meyer arrived and had problems awaking the suspect. Once he awoke a struggle ensued. He was eventually taken into custody and charged. While being transported to the Detention Center Suspect Smalley Jr. attempted to discard a baggie of cocaine inside Deputy Meyer's vehicle. He was charged accordingly.

Marcus Aurelian Clark (Age 39 Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Kevin Meyer for Violation of Probation.

Tracy Lee Beach (Age 35 of Lexington Park) was arrested on an open warrant for Failure to Appear by Deputy David Corcoran. A search incident to that arrest revealed a quantity of marijuana.

Monica Marie Edwards (Age 34 of Fort Lauderdale Florida) was arrested on two (2) open Failure to Appear warrants.

Derrick Xavier Green (Age 25 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Shawn Moses for two (2) open warrants for Failure to Pay Child Support.

Ian Richard Simpson (Age 38 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy William Rishel for Failure to Appear.

Derrick Rahman Medley (Age 22 of Great Mills) was arrested by Deputy Ruest for Failure to Appear.

Nicholas Maguire Drury (Age 27 of Mechanicsville) was arrested on a Grand Jury Indictment for a Handgun Violation and Controlled Dangerous Substance Violations. He was arrested by Deputy Milton Pesante.

William Leroy Smith (Age 48 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Timothy White for Failure to Appear in the Circuit Court for St. Mary's County and Failure to Appear in Anne Arundle County.

Darnell Glen Gross (Age 44 of Lexington Park) was arrested for Failure to Appear by Deputy K. Nelson.

Dale Christopher Hawkins (Age 49 of Lexington Park) was arrested for Failure to Pay Court imposed fines on a CDS conviction. Deputy Green was the arresting Deputy.

Jeffrey Neil Shade (Age 22 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested by Deputy Ronald Maloy for an open Controlled Dangerous Substance warrant. The warrant was related to a Grand Jury Indictment.

Martin Durrell Yates (Age 18 of Loveville) was arrested by Deputy Earl Young for Failure to Appear.

Rose Bernice Knott (Age 54 of Loveille) was arrested by Deputy Harold Young for Failure to Appear.

Katherine Margaret Cavanaugh (Age 25 of Leonardtown) was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Harold Young for passing a Counterfeit Document and Theft Scheme under $500.00.

Heather Marie Hoops was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Boyer for the violation of "Unattended Child". The suspect left a seven (7) year old child home alone. The child was discovered by a family friend who just happened to stop by the residence.

Wendy Marie Spiller (Age 32 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested by Deputy Ruest for Failure to Appear in Charles County District Court.

Dale Eugene Dean (Age 36 of Valley Lee) was arrested on an open Grand Jury Indictment for Fleeing and Eluding and various felony drug possession charges. Deputy Boyer was the arresting Deputy.

Ryan Howard Baird (Age 19 of Potomac, Md.) was arrested on an open Montgomery County District Court warrant. A search incident to that arrest revealed crack cocaine and a related smoking device. Deputy Ruest was the arresting Deputy.

Paul Anthony Fenwick (Age 48 of Chaptico) was arrested by Deputy Harold Young for Failure to Appear in eh District Court.

Anthony Leon Brooks (Age 26 of No Fixed Address) was arrested on a Grand Jury Indictment related to Drug possession charges.

Bertha Miggnontte (Age 51 of Leonardtown) was arrested after Deputies responded to a Lexington Park neighborhood for the reported domestic dispute. The suspect refused to cease shouting profanities and hindered the Deputies in their investigation. She was arrested and charged accordingly.

Roland Matthew Milburn (Age 47 Ridge) was arrested by Deputy Earl Young after he failed to remain off of property he was ordered to stay away from.

Kenneth Allen Grumbine (Age 18 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Boyer. Suspect Grumbine made harassing phone calls to an undisclosed victim. The Deputy contacted the suspect and told to him to cease his actions or he would be arrested. Within one (1) minute of that conversation the suspect called back while the Deputy was still on the scene. He was arrested on a vehicle stop in Great Mills moments later.

Deputy Boyer responded to a Lexington Park Hotel for the reported "Check the Welfare". Someone had called the Sheriff's Office and advised that inside a particular room there was an infant present as adults in the room smoked drugs. Deputy Boyer arrived at the room and once the door was open, he detected an odor of burnt marijuana emitting from inside.

During a traffic stop Jerry Douglas Tasker (Age 24 of Silver Spring, Md.) was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. Deputy Ruest was the arresting Deputy.

Deputy James Maguire began the investigation into a possible altered prescription case at a Mechanicsville Pharmacy. The investigation revealed the suspect; Jennifer Lynn Peddicord (Age 32 of LaPlata, Md.) had altered a prescription in an attempt to obtain additional controlled medications. She was arrested and charged accordingly.

Michelle Lynn Williams (Age 18 of No Fixed Address) was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim. She went to the kitchen area of the home, retrieved a knife and proceeded to cut the victim's waterbed. This caused some major flooding and the basement ceiling collapsed. She was arrested and charged with Property Destruction over $500.00.

Theodore Frederick Harris Jr. (Age 48 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Boyer for Violation of a Protective Order.

Gareth Jarl McCallum (Age 24 of Sunderland, Md.) was arrested by Deputy Keith Moritz for Violation of a Protective Order.

Diane Marie Davis Dorsey (Age 28 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Keith Moritz for stealing more than $150.00 worth of clothing from a California Department Store.
