MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On Aug. 16, 8:58 a.m., Rt. 4, Dunkirk, TPR Roy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed that the tag displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen from Montgomery Village, MD. Arrested for theft (-$100) was Michael Anthony Washington, 50, from Lusby. After processing, Mr. Washington was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Aug. 17, 10:43 p.m., TFC Dawson was dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express, Prince Frederick, for a disorderly subject. Investigation revealed that the suspect, Mark Henrik Nurmi, 48, from Broomes Island, had been asked to leave the premises for yelling and using profanity towards an employee. TFC Dawson contacted the suspect in the parking lot. When Mr. Nurmi continued to use profanity, after being told to stop several times, he was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: During the overnight hours of Aug. 19, an unknown culprit removed 2 flower pots from their stands and threw them into the driveway of a residence on Dalrymple Rd., Chesapeake Beach. TPR Roy is handling the investigation.
