MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (October 1, 2007) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 7:32 pm, TFC M. Moore responded to a reported theft from motor vehicle in the 42000 block of Medley's Neck Lane in Leonardtown. Upon arrival contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) broke into his white Ford van and stole a Darenger 2 shot 22 caliber handgun, a Nextel phone and a Garmin NUVI 680 GPS. Investigation continues.

CDS: On Friday, September 28, 2007 at 7:55 am, Brandon Thomas Maples, 21, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC T. Quade for possession of Marijuana. Mr. Maples was operating a silver Chevrolet Malibu when he was stopped for a exceeding the posted speed limit at Pegg Lane and Pegg Road in Lexington Park. Mr. Maples was found to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana and a CDS smoking device. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

VEHICLE TAMPERING: On Friday, September 28, 2007 at 9:16 am, TFC Rezza responded to a tampering with a motor vehicle in the 22000 block of Sandra Lane in California. The female complainant advised unknown suspect(s) attempted to break into her gold Toyota Camry when the left rear passenger window shattered. Pry marks were found on both the left front and rear doors. Nothing was taken from the vehicle and the investigation continues.

RESIDENCE BURGLARY: On Friday, September 28, 2007 at 7:28 pm, TFC Rezza responded to a reported burglary to a residence in the 23000 block of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood. Contact was made with the female complainant who advised her residence was unoccupied during the past week. Unknown suspect(s) burglarized the residence and had stolen numerous items from the residence. A 27" Phillips Television black in color was stolen in addition to two white gold necklaces; one with a twisted dewdrop pendant and the other necklace having a small heart and two small charms. A Kodak digital camera model #C340, Pioneer DJ Music turntable, DJ Music mixer/equalizer, DJ Music turntable in a black felt covered wooden box and a set of music headphones, portable Sony Walkmen, portable Sony CD player with headphones, portable Holmes heater, 2 GB memory storage card for digital camera and undetermined amount of US and foreign currency. A Red Dodge Ram truck was parked to the rear of the residence which was also damaged. The investigation continues.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Friday, September 28, 2007 at 11:31 pm, TFC M. Grimes responded to a reported disturbance in the 46000 block of Gooseneck Drive in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the female complainant who advised she wanted to leave her residence and the suspect, Alani Jiro Moore, 29, of Lexington Park was refusing to allow her to leave. Contact was made with the suspect who had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath and he would not calm down and subsequently was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

CDS: On Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2:29 am, Nathan David Paquette, 22, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC M. Grimes. Mr. Paquette was stopped at Route 5 and Hermanville Road in Lexington Park for exceeding the posted speed limit while operating a black Toyota Scion. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from Mr. Paquette's breath and he was later arrested for DUI. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Paquette was in possession of marijuana and a CDS smoking device. Mr. Paquette was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged with DUI, possession of Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. He was held pending a bond review.

CDS: On Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2:20 pm, Tony Andrew Messineo, 19, of La Plata was arrested by TFC R. Rezza. Mr. Messineo was operating a green Toyota Solara south bound Route 235 in the area of Rescue Lane in Hollywood when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. A MVA check revealed his driving privileges were suspended in Maryland. Mr. Messineo was arrested for driving on a suspended license. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Messineo was in possession of Oxycodone without a prescription. Mr. Messineo was also charged with possession of CDS. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, September 27, 2007 at 12:55 pm, Julius Jovan Ford, 23, of Charlotte Hall was arrested by Tpr. G. White on an outstanding Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in District Court on September 25, 2007. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Ford was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, September 28, 2007 at 3:50 am, Robin Alana Thompson, 39, was extradited back from Maine on an outstanding Arrest Warrant for 1st Degree Assault. The warrant was served by Tpr. B. McCartney at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she is being held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, September 29, 2007 at 1:30 pm, William Wellington Webb, Jr., 40, of Charlotte Hall was arrested by TFC J. Fleetwood for Violation of Probation / Failing to complete counseling as Sex Offender and Alcohol program. Mr. Webb was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
