Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (November 7, 2007) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARIES: On October 27, Dep. Jason Dean responded to the Beltway Iron Company on Schooner Lane in Prince Frederick for a burglary call. An employee advised that between the hours of 6:00 p.m. the night before and 5:10 that morning, unknown suspect(s) had entered the business and stolen welding cables valued at over $10,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Dean at 410-535-2800.

BURGLARIES: Nurturing Necessities on Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick was unlawfully entered between 1:00 p.m. on October 26 and 9:00 a.m. on October 27. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen and more than $1,000 in damage was done. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Elvis Carter at 410-535-2800.

THEFT: Dep. Mark Fitzgerald responded to the Exxon in Prince Frederick on October 31 at 10:22 a.m. for a theft report. Two employees stated that they observed that the air compressor had been damaged. Dep. Fitzgerald determined that unknown suspect(s) had caused over $1400 in damage to the air compressor and had stolen more than $300 from it. Fitzgerald will be continuing the investigation.

CDS VIOLATION: DFC Eric Basham conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Wesley Stinnett Blvd. in Chesapeake Beach on October 31 at 8:10 p.m. A passenger in the vehicle, later identified as William M. Bowen, 22 of Great Mills, was found to be in possession of a schedule II drug (percocet) and was arrested and charged.

THEFT FROM AUTO: A victim advised DFC Mark Robshaw that while her vehicle was parked at Solomons Towne Center on HG Trueman Road on November 1, unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered it and stole a Sony CD player and 40 cd's worth more than $600. The theft occurred sometime between 2:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.

THEFT: A victim reported to DFC Mark Robshaw that while she was in the Giant food store in Prince Frederick on November 1 unknown suspect(s) stole her wallet out of her purse sometime between 2:09 p.m. and 2:39 p.m. Robshaw will continue the investigation.

CDS VIOLATIONS: Dep. Michael Mudd conducted at routine traffic stop on a vehicle at N. Prince Frederick Blvd. and W. Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick on November 3 at 2:09 a.m. and determined that the driver, identified as Justin W. Graf, 27 of Barstow, was driving while under the influence of alcohol and was found to be in possession of a schedule II drug, adderall. He was arrested and charged with both offenses.

CDS VIOLATIONS: A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic offense was arrested on a charge of CDS violation. After conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle on November 3 at 10:26 p.m. on Md. Rt. 4 and Ball Road in St. Leonard, Cpl. Anthony Moschetto found that Wyatt E. Gray, Jr., 28 of Prince Frederick, was in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and charged.

CDS VIOLATIONS: After conducting a traffic stop on November 4 at 1:34 a.m. in the area of Md. Rt. 2 northbound and C Street in Solomons, DFC Elvis Carter determined that the driver, later identified as Loretta A. Jefferson, 31 of Lusby, was driving under the influence of alcohol and was in possession of marijuana. She was arrested and charged with both offenses.
