Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (June 30, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: A victim advised Dep. Andrew Clas that while her unlocked vehicle was parked outside the Food Lion in Lusby on June 25 at about 8:00 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered it and stole a black CD book with approximately 300 CDs, a blue Sony portable CD player, a black purse and a silver Samsung Slider cell phone. The total loss value is $455.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle in which three juveniles were sitting in the area of Sea Horse Beach in the Chesapeake Ranch Estates on June 26 at 9:42 p.m. Dep. Andrew Clas approached the vehicle and discovered the drugs. He charged one of the youths, a 17-year-old male from Lusby with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a metal pipe with suspected cocaine residue and an aluminum foil pipe with suspected marijuana residue. These objects are used to inhale controlled dangerous substances into the body. He was released to a parent. A sixteen-year-old male and a 14-year-old female both from Lusby were not charged but their parents were contacted.

THEFT: An employee of the Skinners Turn Road Self Storage in Owings advised Dep. David Canning that unknown suspects had siphoned more than $157 worth of gas from two trucks that were parked in the lot overnight between June 25 and 26. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Canning on 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Two women were arrested while one of them was attempting to obtain a prescription by fraud at the Walgreen's drug store located inside 110 Hospital Drive in Prince Frederick on June 26 at 6:07 p.m. by Dep. Nicholas DeFelice. Jennifer Lynn Peacock, 37 of Waldorf, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a glass pipe used to inhale controlled dangerous substances into the body, theft of a prescription pad, attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance (Oxycotin, a schedule II drug) by forgery of a prescription and obstructing and hindering a police officer. Kelli Marie Flanagan-Mead, 37 of Owings, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a glass pipe and copper wire.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On June 27 at 10:03 a.m. Dep. John Harms conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Sandy Wash Circle in Lusby and made contact with the driver, later identified as Reginald Frank Johnson, 26 of Lusby. He was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, two baggies that contained the marijuana.

DOP: Two victims on Cathy Drive in Lusby had their mailboxes smashed causing about $100 in damage between June 27 and 28. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Carl Fischer at 410-535-2800.

THEFT: Dep. Seth Mitchell responded to the Rite Aid in Prince Frederick on 06/29/08 at 3:45 p.m. for a theft call. An employee of the store advised that an unknown suspect stole more than $1100 worth of electric toothbrushes from the store. She stated that a medium build white male filled two baskets with the items and then fled the store, getting into a green Ford Thunderbird. A store surveillance video recorded the suspect. Dep. Mitchell is continuing the investigation.
