MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (July 10, 2008) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On 7/2/08 at 0730 hours, TFC Brooks was dispatched to Citywide Incorporated, Skipjack Road in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. An unknown suspect cut the catalytic converter off of a 2005 Ford E350 work truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at (410)535-1400.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On 07/03/2008 at 1800 hours, in the area of Rt. 261 and 3rd Street, North Beach, Trooper Donaldson stopped a Chevrolet Monte Carlo for a seatbelt violation. A police K9 scanned the exterior of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and driver revealed several Vyvanse pills which the driver did not have a prescription for. Patrick Allen Nelson, 18, of Prince Frederick, was placed under arrest and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On 07/03/08 at 1830 hours, in the area of Route 4 and Dunleigh Drive, Corporal White stopped a Dodge van for speeding. Upon approaching the vehicle, an odor of Marijuana was detected. A search of the driver revealed a baggie of Marijuana in his right sock. Aaron James Catterton, 21, of Lothian, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On 07/04/08 at 1948 hours, Corporal White was dispatched to a residence on Mount Harmony Road in Owings for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that there had been a physical altercation between Gwendolyn Booze and her husband Damon Booze in which the husband assaulted his wife. De-mon Serfe, who was present at the time of the altercation, attempted to separate the couple and was also assaulted by Damon. Damon Ricardo Booze, 51, was placed under arrest for second degree assault and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 7/5/08 at 0049 hrs, Trooper Saucerman was dispatched to the Holiday Inn in Solomons for a noise complaint. Troopers made contact with Kristen Jacobson, 25, of Gainesville, FL. Jacobson began to raise her voice, arguing and yelling at the Troopers and disturbing other guests in the hotel. Jacobson was placed under arrest and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, ASSAULT ON OFFICER: On 7/6/08 at 0149 hours, Trooper First Class Dawson was dispatched to Crooked I Bar in North Beach for the report of a fight in progress. TFC Dawson observed a female yelling and becoming disruptive and shoved another female using both hands. As the trooper moved in to intervene in the altercation, Marvin Timothy Jones, 34, of Hagerstown attempted to interfere. TFC Dawson attempted to arrest Jones and an altercation occurred. Jones was placed under arrest and charged with assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. TFC Dawson then arrested the female from the original altercation, Bonnie Vee Thomas, 48, of Chesapeake Beach and charged her with assault and disorderly conduct. Both were transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On 7/7/08 at 2319 hours, Trooper First Class Bowling stopped a 2003 grey Ford Taurus for weaving on Route 4 at Skinners Turn Rd. The driver, Lloyd Khan, 37, of Port Republic was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol after failing sobriety tests. A search revealed several Elavil pills which were improperly packaged and labeled. Khan was transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

ASSAULT, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, INTOXICATED ENDANGERMENT: On 07/08/2008 at 0930 hours, Trooper Donaldson was dispatched to the area of Rousby Hall Road and Sharon Drive, Lusby, Maryland for the report of a fight. Upon arrival, Trooper Donaldson observed Jason Byrn Galloway, 31, of Lusby, walking north being followed by a female later identified as Crystal Renee Ives. Investigation revealed Galloway and Ives had been in a physical altercation in which several passing witnesses observed Galloway assaulting Ives. Galloway was also intoxicated. Trooper Donaldson placed Galloway under arrest, at which time Galloway began screaming obscenities and purposefully struck his head against the trunk of the patrol vehicle causing damage. Once placed inside the patrol vehicle, Galloway began spitting and striking his head against the passenger side window. Galloway was transported to the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack for processing where he was charged with 2nd Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Malicious Destruction of Property, Reckless Endangerment and Intoxicated Endangerment.
