MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Sept. 16, 2008)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 9:56 am, Joshua Adam Landes, 18, of Lusby was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans for possession of cocaine. Mr. Landes was operating a red Jeep Cherokee when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit on north bound Route 235, south of Route 245 in Hollywood. As contact was made with Mr. Landes, a moderate odor of marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. Mr. Landes was found to be in possession of a glass vile containing cocaine and a silver metal CDS smoking device containing cocaine. Mr. Landes was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10:59 pm, Andrew Joseph Isaza, 19, of La Plata was arrested for possession of marijuana. Tpr. W. Jefferson responded to the 24000 block of Mount Pleasant Road in Hollywood for the reported shooting complaint. Upon arrival, Tpr. Jefferson observed several subjects throwing objects as they were standing outside of several vehicles parked along the roadside. Contact with Mr. Isaza was made and a plastic baggie was observed protruding from his pants pocket. The baggie was removed from his left front pocket contained marijuana. Mr. Isaza was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 2:28 am, Andrew Thomas Croston, 24, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher for possession of PCP. Mr. Croston was operating a black Nissan east bound on Mechanicsville Road, west of Guy Farm Lane when he was stopped for failing to drive in a single lane. A routine MVA check revealed Mr. Croston was both revoked and suspended. Mr. Croston was arrested for driving on a revoked and suspended license. A search incident to the arrest revealed Mr. Croston was found to be in possession of a clear glass vile containing liquid PCP. Mr. Croston was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 4:28 pm, Raymond Anthony Barnes, Jr., 32, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC R. Rezza on an outstanding bench warrant (T-13564) for violation of probation / telephone misuse. Mr. Barnes was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 10:50 pm, Andre Darnell Butler Jr., 20, of Lusby, was arrested by TFC K. Lashley on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13610) for failing to appear in District Court in Leonardtown on September 5, 2008. The original charge was driving on a suspended license. Mr. Butler was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 11:30 pm, James NMN Price, 47, of Lexington Park was served an outstanding arrest warrant (T3-13611) by Tpr. M. Pitcher. The warrant was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on September 8, 2008. The original charge was assault 2nd degree. The warrant was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where Mr. Price was incarcerated on unrelated charges.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 10:50 am, Gina Alma Holroyd, 32, of Drayden was arrested by Tpr. D. Brill on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13614) for failing to appear in District Court in Leonardtown on September 10, 2008. The original charge was theft under $100.00. Ms. Holroyd was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.
