St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 3, 2008) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Alexander Irmer, 21 of Alexandria, Virginia was stopped for a traffic violation. As Senior Deputy First Class K. Somerville contacted Mr. Irmer he could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana. A probable cause search of Mr. Irmer's vehicle was conducted and a clear plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana was located in the glove box. Also located on the rear floor board, directly behind Mr. Irmer, was a silver grinder commonly used to convert and store marijuana. Alexander Irmer was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On November 2, 2008 Brandon Luther Brooker, 28 of North Top Sail, North Carolina was stopped for operating a motor vehicle above the posted speed limit. Ashley Dawn Brooker, 24, of North Top Sail, North Carolina was a passenger in Mr. Brooker's vehicle at the time of the traffic stop. As Dfc. John Logalbo was conducting the traffic stop, K-9 Officer Joseph Windsor of the Calvert County Sheriff's Office arrived on the scene of the traffic stop and conducted a K-9 scan of Mr. Brooker's vehicle. The K-9 hit positively on the passenger compartment of the vehicle. A plastic bag, containing 10 individually packaged baggies of suspected powdered cocaine was located under the front passenger seat. Brandon Brooker and Ashley Brooker were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine. The St. Mary's County Narcotic's Unit was contacted. Investigation is continuing further charges may be pending.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On October 31, 2008 Deputy First Class J. Stone responded to a residence on Hodges Court in Leonardtown for a report of a domestic assault in progress. Investigation revealed Krystal Ann King, 25, of Leonardtown, was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Ms. King threw an unknown object at the victim striking him in the mouth. The victim tried to get away from Ms. King but Ms. King followed the victim and began pushing him. The victim left the residence where Ms. King continued to follow. Once outside Ms. King struck and victim in the face with a boat oar. Krystal King was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On November 1, 2008 at approximately 2:00 a.m. Deputy First Class S. Lacey responded to the intersection of St. Andrew's Church Road and Three Notch Road in California for a report of a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival Dfc. Lacey witness an active verbal dispute between the parties. Investigation revealed Andrae Marquis Briscoe, 25, of Lexington Park, was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical altercation when Mr. Briscoe punched the victim in the mouth with a closed fist. Mr. Briscoe was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On November 2, 2008 Deputy First Class J. Kirkner responded to Indian Way in Lexington Park for a report of a domestic assault. Investigation revealed Darryl NMN Bates II, 25, of Lexington Park, placed the victim in a headlock and choked her during an argument. Mr. Bates was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT W/GUN: On November 2, 2008 Deputy First Class W. Watters responded to Gunnell Drive in Leonardtown for a report of a domestic assault in progress. Investigation revealed Brian Tyrone Durant, 43, of Leonardtown, and the victim were involved in a verbal dispute which escalated into physical assault. Mr. Durant poked the victim in the chest. A third party attempted to intervene and separate the disputing parties. The third party assisted the victim in her attempted to get away from Durant by going to another area of the residence. Durant followed and began shoving the third party. Durant then shoved the third party to the ground and began striking him with a closed fist. Both parties then separated. The third party then witnessed Durant go into his bedroom, retrieve a black handgun, place a magazine clip in the gun and rack a round in the chamber. Durant then stood in the doorway of the bedroom holding the gun at his side. The third party stood between the victim and Durant. The third party and the victim were eventually able to escape the residence. Dfc. Watters retrieved a black Walther P22 handgun from the residence. Also recovered from the residence was one loaded and one unload magazine clip for the weapon.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, ASSAULT: On November 1, 2008 at approximately 1:30 a.m. several deputies responded to Clifton's Bar and Lounge for crowd control. As the crowd was dispersing, Walter Jerome Ford, Jr., 23, of Lexington Park, and Tercel J. Blackiston, 20, of Leonardtown, became involved in a fist fight in front of Guy Brother's Implement, which is located next door to Clifton's Bar and Lounge in Clements. Deputies intervened and separate the parties. The fight was witnessed by persons at Clifton's Bar. Both Ford and Blackiston were arrested and charge with disorderly conduct and assault.
