Alleged Lusby Pharmacy Bandit Arrested

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 1, 2008)—Travis Allan Phifer, 28, of Lusby, was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 26, in connection with the armed robberies at the Friendly Pharmacy in Lusby on Oct. 30 and the Giant Pharmacy in Lusby on Nov. 17. The arrest came after police received tips from anonymous citizens via the Calvert County Crime Solvers tip line.

Phifer was arrested at his home on Nov. 26 and charged with 2 counts of armed robbery, two counts of theft, two counts of second degree assault and two counts of false imprisonment for the October 30th robbery. He was also charged with one count of robbery in the November 17th case.

The Calvert Investigative Team conducted the investigation.
