MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 19, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On Monday, December 15, 2008 at 5:07 pm, TFC E. Evans responded to the 21000 block of Clipper Drive in Great Mills for the reported Theft over $500. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 52, of Great Mills who advised she was missing approximately $550.00 in cash from the residence. Information pertaining to the suspect is not available at this time and the investigation continues.

TRESPASSING, DISORDERLY: On Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 4:55 pm, TFC E. Evans responded to the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was female complainant, 38, of Lexington Park. She advised she wanted Aloysius Sylvester Herbert, 43, of Valley Lee off the property as he was causing a disturbance. Mr. Herbert was told to leave the premises and not return. At approximately 5:17 pm, TFC E. Evans responded back to the residence for another reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with Mr. Herbert, who was acting in a disorderly manner and began to resist arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. Mr. Herbert was charged with Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

OUTSTANDING CHILD SUPPORT WARRANT: On Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 9:20 am Tpr. J. Pilkerton was on routine patrol in the Mechanicsville area when he observed a suspicious vehicle, green Toyota in the 41000 block of New Market Turner Road in Mechanicsville. A routine NCIC check revealed that the passenger, Joseph Lee Douglas, 40, of Aquasco had an outstanding Child Support warrant through the Prince Georges County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Douglas was transported to Waldorf where he was released to their custody.

WALMART THEFT: On Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 11:58am, Tpr. W. Jefferson responded to 45485 Miramar Way in California for the responded Theft in Progress at the Wal-Mart store. Upon arrival, contact was made with Loss Prevention Officer from the store. She observed John Anthony Frantz, 22, of Hollywood place merchandise in his pockets and proceeded to the front of the store. He failed to pay for the merchandise and left the store. Mr. Frantz was detained outside the store until Tpr. Jefferson arrived and took Mr. Frantz in custody. Mr. Frantz was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. He was charged with Theft under $100.

RETAIL THEFT: On December 18, 2008 at 3:58 pm, TFC D. Brill responded to the McKay’s Foodland store in Leonardtown for the reported Theft under $100. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male employee, 58, of Leonardtown. He advised Zach Milton Mattingly, 49, of Leonardtown took a bottle of water from the store without paying. Mr. Mattingly was charged on a Criminal Citation #042008927030 for Theft under $100. He was given a Preliminary Inquiry court date of January 2, 2009 and released at the scene.

WARRANT ARREST: On December 16, 2008 at 12:50 pm, Christopher Eugene Hall, 25, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC J. Stern on an outstanding Circuit Court Bench Warrant (T3-13504) for Failing to Appear in Circuit Court on July 11, 2008. The original charge was Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Hall was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: On December 16, 2008 at 2:48 pm, Kevin Ernest Bryant, 41, of Prince Frederick was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13752) issued by the District Court in Calvert County on December 13, 2008. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Bryant was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
