Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 22, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Dep. Justin Livingston responded to a home on Lower Marlboro Road in Huntingtown on December 14 at 10:30 p.m. for a theft in progress call. The homeowner advised that he observed an unknown male inside his van rummaging through its' contents. The homeowner called out and the suspect fled on foot. The victim stated that nothing appeared to be missing from his vehicle, which had been unlocked. A second victim, who lives on Briscoe Turn Road in Owings, advised Dep. Livingston that on December 15 at 12:30 a.m. he observed an unknown male inside his vehicle but chased him off. The victim did not think anything was missing.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On December 17 at 10:39 p.m. Dep. Roscoe Kreps conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Prince Frederick Blvd. The driver, Kelsey Jerrod Butler, 19, of Chesapeake Beach, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (a smoking device), and driving under the influence. A passenger in the vehicle, Derrick Lamont Estep, 18, of Prince Frederick, was also arrested for possession of marijuana.

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole a heat pump from a home under construction on Duncross Lane in Dunkirk between December 17 and 18. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Carl Fischer at the Sheriff's Office.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: A seventeen-year-old male from Lusby was charged with possession of marijuana on a youth report on December 19 at 7:45 p.m. on Traditional Way in Prince Frederick. Dep. Roscoe Kreps had conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle the juvenile was a passenger in when he was discovered with the suspected marijuana. He was released to a parent.

BURGLARY: Dep. Daniel Deakins investigated a burglary to Nice and Fleazy Antiques on Bay Ave in North Beach on December 19 at 3:27 a.m. The unknown suspect(s) cause $1125 in damage. The business owner is conducting an inventory to determine exactly what was taken. Inquires regarding this burglary should be directed to Lt. Steven R. Jones at 410-535-1600 ext. 2462.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On December 20 at about 1:40 p.m. Dep. April Litteral conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on westbound Md. Rt. 231 in Prince Frederick near North Prince Frederick Blvd. The driver, a seventeen-year-old male from Prince Frederick, was found to be in possession of hashish, a 21-inch ASP baton and a pocket knife. He was charged on a youth report with possession of hashish, and possession of a concealed deadly weapon and released to a parent.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: After conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle at Md. Rt. 260 and Perrywood Drive in Dunkirk on December 20 at 9:55 p.m., Cpl. Anthony Moschetto arrested the driver, Antonino Zimberalist Jones, 42, of Chesapeake Beach, and charged him with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, a glass pipe.
