Calvert Parents Can Access Student Meal Accounts, Payment Options Online

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (March 05, 2010)—Managing a child’s cafeteria meal account is not always easy or convenient. Parents may wonder if their children still have money in their school cafeteria accounts, what food their children are purchasing with the money in the account, or may suddenly realize they forgot to send money to school for the meal accounts.

To easily provide parents more information in a timely manner, Calvert County Public Schools now offers a new service - Café Prepay. Through this online service, parents can monitor meal and à la carte purchases and check meal account balances quickly and easily. There is no charge for these features.

For a fee, parents can deposit money to meal accounts any time by using the Café Prepay online service. To avoid a fee, parents can continue to pay for cafeteria meals by sending cash or checks to school.

There is no fee to register meal accounts or to view account balances or purchases. The fee is charged only when money is deposited onto a meal account using Café Prepay. To register an account, parents can select the Café Prepay button on the Calvert County Public Schools website at www.calvertnet.k12.md.us or can visit www.pay4lunch.com.
