LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 11, 2013)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 1:20pm, TFC E. Evans served a Bench Warrant (T3-16046) on Billy Frank Stone Jr., 28, of California. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with the original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol on June 7, 2013. Mr. Stone was currently incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Mr. Stone was served the Bench Warrant and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE, CDS ARREST: On Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 7:00pm, TFC J. Gibson served a Warrant (T3-15683) on Rajahn Delmon Hampton, 33, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with the original charge of Driving a Motor Vehicle on a Suspended License. Mr. Hampton was located at the Charles County Detention Center and was released to TFC Gibson. Mr. Hampton was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was subsequently searched by TFC Gibson and CDS was recovered from his pants pocket. Mr. Hampton was charged for Possession of CDS - Marijuana, served the Warrant and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
ASSAULT, DISORDERLY, RESISTING ARREST: On Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 1:12am, Tpr. W. Couter responded to the ABC Bar and Lounge in California for a Trespassing complaint. During his investigation, Shelby Maurice Kerrick, 26, of Lusby, became extremely belligerent and was highly intoxicated. After being told numerous times to stop acting in a disorderly manner Mr. Kerrick or he was going to be placed under arrest. Mr. Kerrick became even more agitated and resisted all lawful attempts to make the arrest. Mr. Kerrick assaulted Tpr. Couter and Deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office during the arrest. Mr. Kerrick was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
