LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 14, 2014)—Interim Superintendent of Schools, Mr. J. Scott Smith, today announced the administrative appointment made by the Board of Education at its meeting of November 12.
The Board appointed Mr. James H. Copsey, III as Assistant Principal II at Leonardtown High School. Mr. Copsey is currently an Assistant Principal I at Margaret Brent Middle School. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Lynchburg College and a Master's degree from Towson University. Mr. Copsey joined St. Mary's County Public Schools in August 2003 as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Leonardtown High School and was appointed as Assistant Principal at Margaret Brent Middle School in July 2010.
This appointment becomes effective Monday, December 8, 2014.
