Calvert Hospice Executive Director Stepping Down

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 19, 2015)—Brenda Laughhunn announced that she will resign from her role as executive director of Calvert Hospice at the end of September to pursue a career with a hospice in Missouri. Laughhunn has held the position since January 2012.

The Calvert Hospice Board of Directors stated that they will appoint an interim director until the position is filled.

"Our organization has moved in the past 3 years from being in a very precarious place to being on a firm footing… and you need to know that this is based on several outside audits and assessments by agencies we are accountable to and that hold us to high standards," wrote Laughhunn. "This reflects on a great team that is dedicated and has made many sacrifices. Proving the strong fiber of each member’s commitment to each other, our families, and this great organization. I am grateful to have been a part in making a positive difference in the life of Calvert Hospice."
