Indian Head Man Robbed at Gunpoint on Fishing Dock

CITIZEN ARMED ROBBERY: On April 5 at 7:44 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 30 block of Jameson Court in Indian Head for the report of a citizen armed robbery. Investigation revealed a 16-year-old Indian Head boy approached the victim, a 21-year-old Indian Head man, while the victim was fishing at Slavins Dock off of Mattingley Avenue. The boy, who knows the victim, initiated a conversation and asked the victim to follow him down a path. The victim complied. Bobby Lee Lacey, 21, of Indian Head then brandished a handgun and robbed the victim of money. Lacey and the boy then fled the scene. Officers responded to the boy's house, where they located the boy and Lacey. Both were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, First- and Second- Degree Assault and Theft Less Than $500. Lacey is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner. The boy was released to his father. Officer J. Long investigated.
