2 Car Accident on St. Patrick's Drive Nets One Serious Injury


On May 20 at 5:07 p.m., a Honda Civic was traveling eastbound in the 40 block of St. Patrick's Drive and attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot but the driver failed to yield the right of way to a Nissan Altima traveling westbound on St. Patrick's Drive. The vehicles subsequently collided in the intersection.

The driver of the Honda, Sean Thomas White, 19, of Waldorf was not injured; his passenger, Nicole Marie Dillard, 22, of Waldorf, sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to Civista Medical Center.

The driver of the Nissan, Domenic George Marinaro, 42, of Waldorf, and his passengers - Cynthia Ann Marinaro, 41, a six-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl were not injured. All adults and children were properly seat belted or secured in child safety seats.

White received a citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way to Oncoming Traffic. Officer J. Timko investigated.
