Drug-Related Arrests in St. Mary's County


On 05/19/05 Deputy Shawn Cathcart and DFC Michel Labanowski stopped a vehicle being driven by Brian Joseph Bogan, whom DFC Labanowski knew was suspended. A check through MVA revealed that Brian Joseph Bogan's, 20 of Mechanicsville, driving privilege in the State of Maryland is suspended. Upon reaching the Detention Center Deputy Cathcart checked the rear seat and discovered a bag of marijuana that Bogan had tried to hide. Bogan was charged with Driving while Suspended and Possession of CDS-Marijuana.

On 05/19/05 Deputy Shawn Cathcart served a criminal summons on Albert Sylvester June, 60 of Mechanicsville. Deputy Cathcart's investigation revealed that on or about 05/06/05 he approached a suspicious vehicle at Cooper D's parking lot. As he approached the vehicle the driver who was identified as Albert June threw a smoking device out the window which was recovered. The device was a smoking device for Crack Cocaine. June was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. His investigation reveler that Jennifer Rebecca Leann Cross, 22 of Mechanicsville was a passenger in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed that she was in possession of a crack cocaine smoking device. Cross was charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

On 05/19/05 DFC Michael Labanowski and Deputy Cathcart served a criminal summons on Gerald Allen Wood, 44 of Mechanicsville. The criminal summons charges Wood with possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. DFC Labanowski's investigation revealed that on or about 04/19/05 he stopped a vehicle for a wanted person. While conducting the investigation he observed Wood lean forward trying to hide something in the front of the truck. DFC Labanowski recovered a crack cocaine smoking device.
