On 06/19/05 Dfc. R. Merritt responded to a private residence in Hermanville, Maryland for a reported Domestic Disturbance. Investigation revealed the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal altercation when suspect Mark A. Miles, 44, of Lexington Park struck the victim in the face with his fist. The victim suffered bruising to her face and eye but did not require medical treatment. Mark A. Miles was subsequently arrested, charged with Assault Second Degree, and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
