Drug & Alcohol-related Arrests in St. Mary's


St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Deputy Michael Worrey responded to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for the report of a CDS violation by an inmate returning from work release. Suspect Eric Robinson was in possession of marijuana a criminal violation and tobacco in violation of the Detention Centers rules and regulations. Suspect Robinson was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, marijuana, and remains incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center awaiting a court date.

Friday Morning, July 29, 2005 at about 0245 hours, deputies responded to a fight in progress outside of Butlers Place in Lexington Park, MD. On arrival Dep. Shawn Moses received information that two subjects were in possession of Marijuana. He started toward the two suspects. He observed one suspect, later identified as Agnes Theresa Fenwick, age 34 of Lexington Park, reach into her shirt, remove a plastic bag from her shirt and then drop the plastic bag. The bag was recovered and found to be suspected marijuana. While detaining Agnes Fenwick, another suspect, later identified as Priscilla Ann Fenwick, age 37 of Lexington Park, continued to walk to the rear of a van. There the suspect dropped two plastic bags. The bags were recovered and one was found to be an amount of suspected marijuana. The second bag was an amount of powder cocaine. The value of the Marijuana recovered is approximately $180.00. The value of the recovered Cocaine is estimated at $2,800. Agnes Theresa Fenwick was charged with Possession of Marijuana. Priscilla Ann Fenwick was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Cocaine. Both are held at the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending arraignment before a District Court Commissioner. Assisting in this investigation were SDfc. Kevin Somerville, SDfc. Stephen Myers and Dfc. James Molitor.

July 29, 2005 at approximately 0245 hour Dfc. Elizabeth Trossbach stopped a vehicle on Route 5 at Route 234, Leonardtown, MD for a traffic violation. During the stop, investigation revealed the driver was in possession of a semi-automatic pistol. The driver, Gregg Patterson Battaglia, age 26 of Avenue, MD was checked for sobriety and was also found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Dfc. Trossbach took the the suspect into custody for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Carrying a handgun in a vehicle. Gregg Patterson Battaglia was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is held pending arraignment before a District Court Commissioner.
