On Aug. 11 at 1:14 p.m., a man entered Linda's General Store at 1970 Liverpool Point Road in Nanjemoy, brandished a handgun and demanded money and Newport cigarettes from the clerk. The clerk complied and the man fled the scene in a white compact vehicle. No one was injured. The man is described as being black male with a medium or dark complexion and is approximately 20 years of age. He was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a black hat. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-609-6513. Det. C. Shankster is investigating.
