Armed Robbery at Waldorf Home Depot

On August 10 at 3:32 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Home Depot at 12050 Jefferson Farm Place in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed a man took two power drills to a cashier. The man said he did not have money to pay for the drills and then displayed a gun he had concealed in his waist band. He then fled the store with the property and fled the parking lot in a gray older-model, two-door vehicle onto northbound Crain Highway. The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s with a medium build. He was wearing a gray T-shirt with the letters BYOB printed on it, tan pants and a fishing-style hat. He is described as unshaven and unkempt. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer R. Garrett is investigating.
